Nemanja Gordic - KK BuducnostThe Adriatic League regular season came to an end this week and everything is ready for the Final Four, that will take place at the state-of-the-art Belgrade Arena in the Serbian capital on April 16-18. Regular season champion Partizan faces archrivals Crvena Zvezda in one of the semifinals while Cibona goes against Hemofarm Stada. Partizan finished the regular season with a 23-3 record by downing Bosna 86-75 in Belgrade on Wednesday. Stephane Lasme led the winners with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Cibona finished second at 19-7 despite a 76-73 road loss against Helios Domzale on Saturday. Zvezda had the chance to avoid Partizan in the semifinals, but registered a 64-62 road loss against Buducnost m:tel. Nemanja Gordic buried a game-winning triple at the buzzer. Hemofarm was third with a 19-7 record by beating Split CO 85-74 at home on Thursday behind 18 points from Boris Savovic. Zadar was fifth with a 17-9 record by downing Vojvodina Srbijagas 80-71 at home on Friday. Hrvoje Peric paced the winners with 15 points. Union Olimpija was finally ninth at 10-16 due to a 81-79 road loss against Zagreb CO. Meanwhile, FMP was eighth at 10-16 because of a 86-72 loss against Krka in Novo Mesto.

Partizan finished the regular season with a 23-3 record by downing Bosna 86-75 in Belgrade on Wednesday. Lasme led the winners with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Uros Tripkovic added 12 points, Milenko Tepic had 11 while Aleksandar Rasic and Zarko Rakocevic each got 10 for Partizan, that trailed 39-41 at halftime. Tripkovic led a 10-1 Partizan run that put the hosts ahead for good, 57-49. Partizan boosted its margin to 77-61 behind an outstanding Lasme and cruised to a well-deserved win. Cibona finished second at 19-7 despite a 76-73 road loss against Helios Domzale on Saturday. Alvin Snow led the winners with 18 points. Davor Lus led Cibona with 20 points, Niksa Prkacin added 13 while Brent Wright had 10 and 10 rebounds for Cibona, that led 57-60 with 6 minutes to go. A 9-0 run put Helios ahead for good, 66-60, as even when Cibona got within 72-71, free throw accuracy helped the hosts to win the game. Zvezda needed a win to finish second but registered a 64-62 road loss against Buducnost m:tel. Sead Sehovic led the winners with 16 points. Vladimir Micov added 15 while Gordic had 12 for Buducnost. Boris Bakic had 16 points for Zvezda while Elmedin Kikanovic added 13. It all came down to the final seconds, as free throws by Marko Marinovic gave Zvezda a 61-62 edge. Gordic took over with the game-winning triple seconds before the final buzzer.

Hemofarm Stada finished the regular season third with a 19-7 record by beating Split CO 85-74 at home on Thursday. Boris Savovic led the winners with 18 points. Milos Borisov added 14, Milan Macvan had 11 while Nebojsa Joksimovic got 10 for Hemofarm, that led 52-31 at halftime and did not find much trouble to add an important home win. Zadar was fifth with a 17-9 record by downing Vojvodina Srbijagas 80-71 at home on Friday. Peric paced the winners with 15 points. Todor Gecevski and Desmon Farmer each added 13 while Damir Rancic had 11 for Zadar, that trailed 56-61 after 30 minutes. Zadar improved its defense in the fourth quarter while a 10-0 run that Peric capped with a triple sealed the outcome. Union Olimpija was finally ninth at 10-16 due to a 81-79 road loss against Zagreb CO. Ante Tomic and Damir Mulaomerovic led Zagreb each with 21 points. Jasmin Hukic had 25 points for Olimpija, Vladimir Golubovic added 14 while Mirza Begic got 11 for the guests. It all came down to the final minute, as a three-pointer by Hukic got Olimpija within 79-78. Mulaomerovic made free throws and a tactical foul allowed Zagreb to win it down the stretch. FMP was eighth at 10-16 because of a 86-72 loss against Krka in Novo Mesto. Simon Petrov led Krka with 17 points. Dragan Labovic had 20 points for FMP, Miroslav Raduljica added 17, Nemanja Protic got 16 while Mladen Jeremic contributed 13 for the guests. Krka led 66-51 after 30 minutes and FMP never recovered.
