 Spirou Basket Charleroi routed VOO Verviers-Pepinster on the road 65-91 to remain atop the Belgian League standings. Charleroi improved to 24-6, but has only one win more than second-placed Dexia Mons-Hainaut, a 79-62 winner over Belgacom Liege. Dwayne Broyles scored 19 to pace Spirou to victory. Spirou led 37-41, but dominated the second half, outscoring Pepinster by 9 in the third quarter and by 13 in the fourth. Matt Walsh added 15 points and 8 rebounds, Wes Wilkinson scored 12 and Jura Lalic 11 for the winners. Guy Maya paced Pepinster with 21 in defeat. Meanwhile Kelvin Torbert paced Mons to victory with 23 points and Ben Ebong produced 10 points and 13 rebounds. In other games, Base BC Oostende trashed Generali Okapi Aalstar 107-75 as Ivan Paunic tallied 25 points and Spotter Leuven edged Optima Gent 74-76 thanks to Chris Young's 21 points.
