Spirou Basket Charleroi cruised to an easy win in its penultimate game in the Belgian League regular season as it warms up for the playoffs. Charleroi crushed Generali Okapi Aalstar 81-57 to improve to 25-6 led by Jerry Johnson with 15 points. The game was still relatively close at halftime, but Charleroi dominated the second half 45-24 to secure the victory. Dwayne Broyles added 13 and Jonathan Tabu 12 among seven Spirou scorers with at least 8 points. Stephane Pelle led Aalstar with 18 points. In other games, Belgacom Liege Basket trounced VOO Verviers-Pepinster 88-68 behind 18 points and 14 rebounds by Will Thomas, Spotter Leuven topped Antwerp Diamond Giants 86-82 as Demario Anderson put up 24 points and Optima Gent edged Base BC Oostende 89-86 thanks to 18 points and 15 boards from Graham Brown. Second place Dexia Mons-Hainaut enjoyed a bye week.
