French League, Regular Season, Game 28: May 5, 2009

 Asvel Basket and Orleans lead the French League standings each with a 20-8 record. Sluc Nancy ranks third at 19-9 while Le Mans and Chorale Roanne tie for fifth place at 18-10. Asvel registered a 84-79 road loss against Dijon. Eric Chatfield, Aerick Sanders and Reggie Williams led the winners each with 18 points. Chevon Troutman had 15 points for Asvel while J.R. Reynolds and Eric Campbell each had 12 for Asvel, that trailed 77-75 with 3 minutes to go. A 7-1 run allowed Dijon to seal the outcome. Le Mans did not much trouble to thrash Roanne 80-60 at home also on Tuesday. Dee Spencer led the winners with 24 points. Alain Koffi posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, JP Batista added 13 points while Bobby Dixon had 12 for Le Mans, that led 42-24 at halftime and never looked back. Chris Monroe had 17 points for Roanne, Marc-Antoine Pellin 13 and Uche Nsonwu 10. Orleans overwhelmed Roanne 83-55 at home on Tuesday behind 17 points from Ryvon Covile. Danny Strong and Brian Laing each had 11 points for Le Havre, that already trailed 59-32 after 30 minutes. Nancy topped Chalon 75-84 on the road on Tuesday. Lamayn Wilson paced the winners with 18 points. Michel Morandais added 17, Stephen Brun had 15, Akin Akingbala 13 and Steed Tchicamboud 11. Brun downed four three-pointers late in the fourth quarter to seal the outcome down the stretch. In other games, Hyeres-Toulon topped Besancon 81-73, Cholet edged Pau-Lacq-Orthez 95-88, Vichy defeated Gravelines-Dunkerque 68-62 while Strasbourg beat Rouen 79-68.
