Lithuanian League Quarterfinals, Game 1: April 11-15, 2009

 All of the four top seeded teams registered solid victories in the first quarterfinals in the Lithuanian League. First-seed and defending champion Zalgiris pounded Aisciai 87-58 as Mantas Kalnietis and Paulius Jankunas paced the champs with 17 points apiece. Dainius Salenga added 13 points and Jonas Maciulis had 11. Second-seed and new Eurocup champion Lietuvos Rytas put up a scoring clinic in a 119-77 victory over Sakalai as Eurocup Final Eight MVP Marijonas Petravicius paced seven scorers in double digits with 17 points. Martynas Gecevicius almost matched him with 16 points, Lukas Brazdauskis scored 15 points, Michail Anisimov netted 13 points, while Milko Bjelica, Arturas Jomantas and Chuck Eidson added 11 points each for L. Rytas. BC Siauliai outscored Kaunas Triobet 32-14 in the second quarter and never looked back en route to a 98-70 victory, led by 15 points and 11 rebounds from Saulius Kuzminskas. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Gintaras Kadziulis produced 14 points, Andrius Slezas had 13 points, Gintautas Vileita chipped in with 12 points and Stefhonas Hannah added 10 points. Nevezis beat Neptunas 81-64 as Benas Veikalas led four scorers in double digits with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts.
