Dutch League, Season 2009-10
|
|
| The Dutch League opens a new season with EclipseJet MyGuide Amsterdam as its defending champion. Amsterdam will have a lot to prove this season, as it lost its main players in the off-season market and must start over. Chris Rodgers is set to become the new leader in this team, with Robert Krabbendam, Sergio de Randamie and Jeese Voorn expected to play bigger roles. EiffelTowers Den Bosch are seen as the main candidate to win the title, as it got much stronger this summer. EiffelTowers landed star center Peter Van Paassen and managed to keep its core of players, including Kees Akerboom, Dean Oliver, Anthony Richardson, Jerome Beasley and Marcel Aarts. EiffelTowers also added combo guard Rogier Jansen to round out a deep roster. GasTerra Flames Groningen, Upstairs Weert, Matrixx Magixx Nijmegen and Landstede Zwolle will try to fight for a spot in the title series. Groningen counts on Tim Blue, Darian Townes and Matt Bauscher to lead the team this season. Matrixx signed Bobby Davis, Angelo Flanders and high-flying dunker Henry Bekkering. And Weert has Elijah Palmer as its franchise player, while Larry Gordon is set to lead Zwolle. |
