Last season:
The T-Wolves started well and after winning seven of eight games in January boasted a 20-16 mark, but struggled the rest of the way and failed to make the playoffs.

·
The Minnesota Timberwolves have had some
modest success in their history, despite
joining the NBA less than 20 years ago. The team's
highlight was reaching the NBA's Western Conference
finals in 2004 before losing to the Los Angeles
Lakers. That year marked eight straight playoff
appearances for the club.
· In recent seasons the team has
struggled, but July's blockbuster trade
that sent Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics has
allowed Minnesota to rebuild with a group of young
talents that includes Randy Foye, rookie Corey Brewer
and Al Jefferson.
