London is the largest city in the European Union and one of the most-visited cities in the world. Among its must-see sites are Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. London is also of course a haven to the arts, with its West End shows, concert and opera halls and special exhibits at the British Museum or the National Gallery. Always a city on the world sporting map, whether through famous football games at the new Wembley Stadium or tennis championships at Wimbledon, London will soon enter new waters as it hosts the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
