Fortitudo Bologna keeps Joseph Forte

Fortitudo Bologna has exercised a team option to keep Joseph Forte in the club until the end of the 2008-09 season, the club announced Wednesday. Forte (193, 26) arrived in Bologna in January and averaged 16.7 points, 3.2 assists and 2.5 steals in 19 Italian League games last season. He had started the season with Unics Kazan, where Forte averaged 4 points in five ULEB Cup games. Forte has also played for Montepaschi Siena in Italy, Apollon Patras in Greece, the Asheville Altitude in the NBDL, as well as for Seattle and Boston in the NBA. He also helped the University of North Carolina to reach the 2000 NCAA Final Four. Forte has won the Italian League title with Montepaschi in 2007 and lifted the NBDL trophy with Asheville in 2005.
