Aris tabs promising guard Anton Gavel

 Aris has continued to stockpile talent ahead of the upcoming season. On Sunday the club announced that guard Anton Gavel had signed a two-year contract to play in Thessaloniki. Gavel (189, 24) comes to Aris from Spanish side Polaris World Murcia, where he spent the past two seasons. He averaged 4.4 points in 20 minutes per game last season. A native of Slovakia, Gavel developed in Germany and was named that league's best young player after the 2005-06 season, during which he recorded 16 points, 3 assists and 1.8 steals in 30 games for the Giessen 46ers. He also played for BG Karlsruhe in Germany.
