Fortitudo signs Kieron Achara

 Fortitudo Bologna keeps adding names to its roster in a busy summer. The latest acquisition of the Italian team has been Scottish power forward Kieron Achara (208, 25), who has signed a one-year deal with an option for two more years. Achara comes from American college ball where he is just done playing for Duquesne where last season he averaged 11.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in about 19 minutes per appearance. A member of the Great Britain national team, Achara is also a collector of accolades in college ball's Atlantic 10 conference: three-time member of the All-Academic Team (2005, 2007 and 2008), Most Improved Player in 2005, All-Defensive Team in 2007 and finally, Student and Athlete of the Year in 2008.
