Euroleague Basketball Institute Annual Workshops mark run-up to 2015-16 season

Players, coaches and executives from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and Eurocup are once again poised to join Euroleague Basketball personnel and visiting experts in a two-week-long series of working sessions to prepare the ground for the new and promising 2015-16 season.

The fourth Euroleague Basketball Institute Annual Workshops will bring together professionals from across Europe to eight days' worth of meetings in early July at the company headquarters in Barcelona. The workshops are designed to identify best practices and new initiatives in every facet of the sport in order to enhance the Euroleague experience for fans now and in the future.

Player representatives from all 24 teams of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague take the stage on July 1 to offer their input to Euroleague Basketball executives on issues and future plans that affect them. Next, the head coaches from the competition will spend July 2 and 3 covering topics that affect their role and holding their annual conference with the Euroleague Basketball Refereeing Department.

How to maximize fans' ticketing options is the subject when the workshops resume on the morning of July 6, whilst in parallel Euroleague Marketing Directors will discuss the best means of increasing the Turkish Airlines Euroleague's visibility and impact in the entertainment market. In the final EBI workshop, Euroleague Media Directors get together on July 7 to pursue strategies for reaching a wider audience through mass communications and social media channels.

The EBI Annual Workshops will be followed by an ECA Shareholders Meeting and Eurocup Clubs Meeting, bringing executives from all the major clubs in Europe to Barcelona on July 8 to finalize all plans for the upcoming season. These will be present one day later, on July 9, to celebrate the 2015-16 Turkish Airlines Euroleague and Eurocup draws, which will reveal the regular season groups that all teams will play next autumn when the respective competitions get underway.
