Final Four on Social Media

Between the end of the playoffs and their arrival in Cologne for the 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, the players still in the hunt to take the crown have been busy. They have also been busy on social media. Here in chronological order are a sampling of the significant moments that the players from the Final Four teams experienced from the time they qualified until their first steps in Cologne!

GRADUATE: Rookie Davide Moretti is with Milan in club's first Final Four in 29 years, but first he took care of another business – graduating from Texas Tech University. Congratulations, Davide.

HALL OF FAME VISIT: Pau Gasol took time off before the Final Four to be present at Kobe Bryant's Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction.

REMEMBER THE PROMISES: There seems to be an all-round excitement with a rumor that Luigi Datome might be cutting his beard if Milan wins the EuroLeague title. However, Jeff Brooks will have to keep his end of the deal. Also, Barcelona stars Nick Calathes, Alex Abrines and Pierre Oriola made promises of their own in case they go on to win the EuroLeague crown.

SEND-OFF: Milan fans gave the team a little send-off, singing the songs and marching with the flags in from of a team bus as it was leaving to take the team to the airport.

WHEELS UP: On Tuesday, everybody was excited to head towards Cologne.

ARRIVED: Later that same evening the four teams touched down in Cologne where they will be squaring off in the semifinals on Friday.

FAVORITE COMPANY: It is always nice to be close to the EuroLeague trophy.

EXCLUSIVE LOOK: This is a locker room of the defending champions.

KEEPING BUSY: There are two days before games, but players, like Milan's Malcolm Delaney and Luigi Datome, have been busy in Cologne with some media commitments.

SPECIAL DAY: Wednesday was a special day for Efes point guard Vasilije Micic, who was voted EuroLeague MVP. His current team Efes, and his former club Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade joined in congratulating him as soon as the news was announced.
