The trophy that symbolizes everything the four teams will be fighting for at the 2012 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four will travel through the host city of Istanbul during Final Four weekend to give fans a chance to see it up close. As has become a tradition in recent years, the Euroleague trophy will be on display at Intersport stores, where players from the participating team will also visit, and at the Devotion Fan Zone. Basketball fans that visit either of those sites will have the chance to marvel at and photograph the brass and rhodium covered trophy, which was redesigned for Euroleague Basketball in 2006.

The trophy will be accompanied by four players to its first stop on Thursday morning at Istanbul’s flagship Intersport store located at the Kanyon Shopping Mall in the Levent neighborhood. Turkish Airlines Euroleague contenders Joey Dorsey of Olympiacos Piraeus, Chuck Eidson of FC Barcelona Regal, Nenad Krstic of CSKA Moscow and Panathinaikos guard Sarunas Jasikevicius, who played in Istanbul last season with Fenerbahce Ulker, will all join the trophy at this stop for one hour starting at 10:00 a.m. local time.

The Euroleague Trophy will visit a second Intersport store in the suburban Istanbul neighborhood, Bayrampasa, on Saturday evening. Additionally the trophy will be on display for several hours during the days of the Final Four games at the Devotion Fan Zone, located at the famed Taksim Square. The trophy will be at the Devotion Fan Zone on both Friday and Sunday starting from 10:00 a.m. local time until shortly before the games.
