Head Coaches

DZIKIC, ALEKSANDAR
Lietuvos Rytas
"We played two totally different halves. We turned the ball over 7 times in the first 10 minutes: I cannot be happy for that. But after the break I finally found the best roster to use and we finally overcame their efforts. Someone had called us the favorites but you cannot underestimate a team which also joins the Last 16 stage. It is hard for me to hide my emotions because Krka is my ex-team.”
SEKULIC, ALEKSANDER
KRKA Novo Mesto
"I congratulate Lietuvos Rytas, they were the better team tonight. Of course, one could say they are the better team overall. We came to Vilnius without our star big guy, Jerome James, who is off to the NBA, and Lietuvos Rytas likes to use their front court a lot, so we had to use zone defense. Unluckily for us, our opponents finally found a way to beat it. They were dominant in the paint in the second half and used that to run away.”

Players

SEIBUTIS, RENALDAS
Lietuvos Rytas
"It was not hard to understand during the first 20 minutes that our opponent is a serious one. We had prepared for this game thoroughly, still the start was sluggish somehow. I think we were too relaxed: we conceded too many easy points. Everything changed in the second half, though, when we finally fixed things on the defensive end.”
