Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius playmaker Omar Cook will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a leg injury, the club announced Friday. Cook was injured in his team's Turkish Airlines Euroleague game against Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar. Further research confirmed the bad news; Cook injured a muscle in his left thigh and will be out for at least two weeks. As such, Cook will not be able to help his team against Laboral Kutxa Vitoria and Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, but could return for Lietuvos Rytas's regular season finale against Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade, depending on the progress made in his recovery. Cook is ranked second in assists in this Euroleague season with 6.6 per game to go with 7 points and 1.4 steals. As a result, Milenko Tepic and Paulius Dambrauskas are expected to see extended playing time, as Cook has averaged more than 32 minutes per game until now.
