Unicaja Malaga starting point guard Earl Calloway will be out of action for three or four weeks due to an ankle injury, the club announced Monday. Calloway (1.90, 30 years old) suffered the injury in a Spanish League game over the weekend. Medical tests undergone by the player on Monday morning confirmed a severe sprain. He will therefore miss the next Top 16 game against champ Olympiacos in Piraeus plus the Spanish King's Cup, to be played February 6 to 9 in Malaga. He will probably miss at least one more Top 16 game after that. Calloway has averaged 7.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague games this season with Unicaja.
