bwin MVPJustin DentmonFor the second time this season, Justin Dentmon earned bwin MVP honors for the week after leading Zalgiris Kaunas to its first Top 16 victory over Partizan NIS Belgrade on Thursday. Dentmon turned in one of the best games of his fantastic debut Turkish Airlines Euroleague campaign with a performance index rating of 33 to lead all players in Top 16 Round 6. Dentmon produced 23 points on 2-for-2 two-point and 5-of-10 three-point shooting plus 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block (check it out on this week’s top 10 plays!) and 8 fouls drawn. Those numbers were clearly worthy of being the Top 16 Round 6 bwin MVP. The runners-up for the week were Nenad Krstic of CSKA Moscow and Sergio Rodriguez of Real Madrid, who were the heroes of their team’s wins. Krstic punished Galatasaray Liv Hospital to the tune of 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting, while Rodriguez tallied 16 points with just 1 missed shot plus 6 rebounds and 3 assists as Madrid beat Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar on the road. Both players finished with performance index ratings of 26. Pops Mensah-Bonsu compiled a 25 index with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals to finish fourth among weekly leaders. Rounding out the top five were Richard Hendrix of Lokomotiv and Carlos Arroyo of Galatasaray, each with indexes of 24. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Krstic shared Top 16 Round 6 scoring honors with 24 points apiece. Bogdanovic’s 20.5 points per game rank him atop the Top 16 charts. EA7 Emporio Armani Milan’s Keith Langford is the full season leader with 16.8 points per game. Mensah-Bonsu’s 12 rebounds were the most of any player this week. He leads the league with 9.3 rebounds per game this season; Hendrix is the Top 16 leader (7.4 rpg.). Arroyo topped the week’s assists standings with 9. He ranks second this season with 5.8 assists per game; Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos is the Top 16 (7.8 apg.) and full season (7.5 apg.) assists leader. Bogdan Bogdanovic and FC Bayern Munich’s Malcolm Delaney each recorded 4 steals to lead the weekly charts. Anadolu Efes guard Jamon Gordon (1.9 spg.) and Fenerbahce Ulker forward Emir Preldzic (1.8 spg.) are the full season and Top 16 leaders, respectively.
