Zalgiris Kaunas team captain Paulius Jankunas is set to be sidelined for a month due to a right toe fracture, the club announced Wednesday. Jankunas was injured in practice and even though tests ruled out the need for surgery, he is expected to be off the cour for four weeks. Jankunas is in his 10th Euroleague season with Zalgiris and grabbed his 1,000th career rebound - in 181 games - last week. He had started all 18 Euroleague games this season until now, averaging 8.8 points and 6.3 rebounds. "Nobody is immune to injury, this is a completely ordinary situation," Jankunas said. "I have no doubt that all our players will join forces and keep fighting. It is the only way - only by fighting with all of our heart we will be able to achieve something."
