bwin MVPMalcom Delaney - FC Bayern Munich - EB13Malcolm Delaney provided another inspirational performance in his debut Euroleague season by leading FC Bayern Munich over red-hot Real Madrid Thursday. His effort resulted in Delaney earning bwin MVP honors for Round 10 of the Top 16. Delaney scored 20 points, making 4 of 6 two point shots and 2 of 5 from three-point range, plus 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. He dished 6 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds, and also drew 9 fouls. It all added up to a performance index rating of 24 – the highest of any player on a winning team this week. The best index rating of Top 16 Round 10, and the second best of the entire season, came from Laboral Kutxa Vitoria center Tibor Pleiss. In a 65-83 loss to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Pleiss amassed 30 points and 13 rebounds – both career-highs – in addition to 2 blocks and 10 fouls drawn for a performance index rating of 43. Behind him was another big man, Robertas Javtokas of Zalgiris Kaunas with an index rating 27. Javtokas totaled 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 8 fouls drawn in a 77-67 loss at Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. Rounding out the top five with index ratings of 22 were Derrick Brown of Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar and Bryant Dunston of Olympiacos Piraeus. In a 66-67 defeat at the hands of Galatasaray Liv Hospital, Brown had 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. In a 70-58 loss at FC Barcelona, Dunston scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and blocked 2 shots. MVP Video

Individual leaders: Tibor Pleiss of Laboral Kutxa Vitoria, 30 points

Pleiss led all Euroleague players in Top 16 Round 10 with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Keith Langford of EA7 Milan, who scored 12 points, remains the Euroleague’s scoring leader with 17.4 points per game. Joffrey Lauvergne of Partizan NIS is the competition’s leading rebounder with 8.7 per night. Unicaja Malaga’s Jayson Granger dished 9 assists to lead the weekly table. Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos Athens is the season-long leader with an average of 6.8 assists. EA7 Milan center Samardo Samuels recorded a career-high 4 steals, the most of any players this week. Jamon Gordon of Anadolu Efes Istanbul leads the league with 2.2 steals per game. Javtokas topped the weekly charts in blocked shots with 4. Bryant Dunston of Olympiacos Piraeus remains the league’s shots blocked leader with 1.6 per game. Three players registered double doubles in the week’s eight games: Pleiss, Stephane Lasme (11 points, 12 rebounds) of Panathinaikos and Ante Tomic (14 points, 11 rebounds) of Barcelona.
