ALBA Berlin made its first signing for the 2014-15 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season, bringing back center Martin Seiferth on a two-year deal on Thursday. Seiferth (2.08 meters, 23 years old) spent last four years in the United States college, first at Oregon University and the past two playing for Eastern Washington University, but now returns to the club he grew up with. Last season big man averaged 7.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per contest in the Big Sky conference. Seiferth previously played in all youth categories for the Berliners, helping them win U19 German title in 2009.

"Martin has decided to invest further in his basketball development and we will support him in this way”, said ALBA Berlin sporting director Mithat Demirel. “He is a player with potential we want to develop. With his athletic and strong defensive play, and his attitude to give everything for his team in training and on the court, he fits in well with the ALBA Berlin’s concept, and our chosen path."
