Alba Berlin stayed in the German League to find its next power forward, signing Jamel McLean from Telekom Baskets Bonn for the coming season. McLean (2.03 meters, 26 years old) scored in double figures in every Eurocup game he appeared in for Bonn last season. He averaged 15.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. McLean was also worth 13.2 points and 7.7 boards per game in the German League. He spent the past season and a half with Bonn after starting his professional career in Belgium, first with Lueven Bears and later Telenet Ostend. With Ostend, he averaged 4.7 points and 4.8 rebounds in six Eurocup games during the 2012-13 season. Before turning pro, he split a four-year university career between Tulsa and Xavier.
