Unics Kazan improved its roster weeks before the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking small forward James White to a one-year on Thursday. White (2.01 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Grissin Bon Reggio Emilia, where he averaged 17.1 points and 5 rebounds in 34 Italian League games last season, in which he helped his team win the EuroChallenge title. White has also played for New York, San Antonio and Houston of the NBA, Erie Bay, Austin and Anaheim of the D-League, Scavolini Pesaro and Dinamo Sassari of Italy, Spartak St. Petersburg of Russia and Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul of Turkey. He helped Fenerbahce win the Turkish League title and reach the Euroleague playoffs in 2008. White was also the 2010-11 Italian League top scorer with Sassari, averaging 20.2 points in 34 games.
