German League runner-up ALBA Berlin suffered a blow just weeks before the start of the new Turkish Airlines Euroleague campaign with an injury to Jonathan Tabu. The point guard is expected to miss the entire regular season. Tabu suffered a pectoral muscle tendon injury, which will sideline him for three to four months. The 28-year old is scheduled to undergo surgery Friday. Tabu is in his first season with ALBA, after arriving from CAI Zaragoza this summer. He averaged 8.1 points and 2.7 assists in 16 Eurocup games last season. ALBA, which is in regular season Group B, is scheduled to open its Euroleague campaign at home against CSKA Moscow on October 17.
