FC Barcelona signed shooting guard Edwin Jackson for the remainder of the season, the club announced Saturday. Jackson (1.90 meters, 25 years old) arrives from ASVEL Lyon Villeurbanne, where he averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 10 Eurocup games this season. He was also the top scorer in the French League with 18.4 points per game this season and led the league with 18.2 points last season too. Jackson grew up with INSEP and joined ASVEL in 2007. Jackson also played for JSF Nanterre and SPO Rouen Basket in France before returning to ASVEL in 2010. He is a regular member of the French national team, which he helped win a bronze medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup last summer. He led the French Under-18 national team to the 2006 European championships, won a silver medal at the 2009 U20 European Championships and a bronze at the 2007 U19 World Championships, too. Jackson is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Barcelona in the Top 16.
