Lottomatica Roma lands Andre Hutson

Andre Hutson - Efes Pilsen An elite power forward switched Euroleague teams on Friday when Lottomatica Roma announced that Andre Hutson inked a one-year deal with his new team. Hutson (202, 29) arrives from Efes Pilsen, where he averaged 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 19 Euroleague games last season. He has also played for Panionios, Peristeri, Makedonikos and Maroussi in Greece, Ural Great in Russia and Napoli in Italy. He averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 15 ULEB Cup games in the 2004-05 season, helping Makedonikos to reach the title game against Lietuvos Rytas. He had previously helped Michigan State University to win the NCAA title in 2000. Hutson also reached the Greek League and FIBA Europe league finals with Maroussi in 2004. "Hutson is a very experienced player, a good shooter with a soft touch who rebounds well," Roma general manager Dejan Bodiroga said. "He is a power forward that can also help us at the center spot. He has proven to be a reliable player and has a great season with Efes. He will help us a lot this season."
