ALBA Berlin bolstered its froncourt for the second half of the Top with the addition of Jannick Freese. The center joined ALBA earlier in the month and has already appeared in German League games for the club, but is now eligible to compete in the Euroleague, too. Freese (2.11 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Craisheim Merins, where he averaged 12.1 points and 7 rebounds in 15 German League games this season. He started his career with Braunschweig and played for LTi Giessen 46ers and EWE Baskets Oldenburg before joining Craisheim. Last season, Freese averaged 4 points and 1.4 rebounds in eight Eurocup games with Oldenburg. He has also been a member of the German U20 and University national teams.
