Unicaja Malaga will put its offense in the hands of Nemanja Nedovic after signing the point guard for the next two seasons. Nedovic (1.91 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Valencia Basket, for whom he averaged 8 points, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals in just 19 minutes over five Turkish Airlines Euroleague games last season. He also posted 8 points and 3.8 assists in just 17 minutes in eight Eurocup games to help Valencia reach the eighthfinals and 7.2 points and 1.8 assists in 32 Spanish League appearances. At age 15, Nedovic signed for Crvena Zvezda Belgrade in his native Serbia and he made his debut with the first team at 17. He stayed there for four seasons before joining Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius in 2012-13. That season, Nedovic made his Euroleague debut and played 10 games, in which he averaged 9.8 points, 2.5 boards and 2.1 assists. He also played one season for Golden State in the NBA as well as that team’s D-League affiliate in Santa Cruz before joining Valencia last season. Nedovic is also a member of the Serbian national team, at EuroBasket 2013 and is on the preliminary roster for EuroBasket 2015.
