Turkish Airlines Euroleague runner-up Olympiacos Piraeus reinforced its frontcourt on Friday by signing two-year deal with athletic center Patric Young, who made his Euroleague debut last season with Galatasaray Istanbul. Young (2.09 meters, 23 years old) started 14 of 17 Euroleague games after arriving mid-season. In the Top 16, he averaged 9.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. His 2.5 offensive rebounds per contest were fourth best in the Euroleague last season. In the Turkish League he posted 10.5 points and was the third best rebounder with 7.9 per game. The big man previously spent four seasons with University of Florida, where he finished with averages of 11 points and 6.4 rebounds in his senior season. Young played for the United States national team at the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship, where he averaged 9.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in a fifth-place finish.
