Serbian champion Partizan m:ts enjoyed a busy weekend in which it agreed to a one-year contract extension with captain Petar Bozic and added center Rasko Katic for the same length of time. Bozic (197, 31) will mark his seventh season with the club during which he has won six Serbian titles, three Radivoj Corac cups and four Adriatic league titles. Last season Bozic averaged 5.3 points in 20 Euroleague games, helping the club book a return to the Euroleague Final Four. Bozic began his career with Beobanka Belgrade and later played for Radnicki and Hemofarm before joining Partizan.
Katic (208, 29) comes to help offset the expected loss of center Slavko Vranes, who is rumored to be signing with a new team soon. He arrives from fellow Serbian side Hemofarm, where he averaged 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in the Adriatic League and 9.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in three Eurocup games last season. Katic came to Hemofarm from German side Walter Tigers Tuebingen where he spent four seasons. He has also played for Ergonom, ITU Istanbul, Crvena Zvezda and Radnicki during his career.
