Czech champs CEZ Nymburk announced on Wednesday the addition of guard Weyinmi Efejuku (196, 24) for a one-year deal. Efejuku arrives from Barons/LMT Riga of Latvia, where he arrived in December of 2009. He made an instant impact on the league as he finished as top scorer averaging 18.5 points per game. He also added 4.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists while his 1.6 steals per game earned him the fifth spot in the overall rankings as he led the team to the national league title. Efejuku played college ball in Providence from 2005 to 2009 and in his senior year he played 33 games to average 15.7 points, 4.0 boards and 2.3 assists. He was not drafted and he then moved to Spain to play for Tenerife Rural in the Spanish second division, where he stayed until December before he moved to Latvia. Before joining Nymburk, Efejuku has been in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League with the Miami Heat.
