Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz improved its backcourt by inking playmaker Rafa Luz to a two-year deal on Friday. Luz (1.88 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, where he averaged 7 points, 3 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 41 Brazilian League games last season, helping his team win the title. Luz started his career with Unicaja Malaga, playing for its junior team and also for its vinculated squad, Clinicas Rincon Axarquia. He has also played for several Spanish teams such as CB Granada, Lucentum Alicante and Blusens Monbus Obradoiro before joining Flamengo. Luz has also been a member of the Brazilian national team, helping it win a gold medal at the 2015 Panamerican Games in Toronto, Canada. He also helped Brazil get a silver medal at the 2011 FIBA Americas tournament.
