BC Donetsk signed big man Ivan Radenovic to a two-year contract on Friday. Radenovic (2.08 meters, 27 years old) is a versatile power forward who arrives from Spanish club Menorca Basquet, for whom he averaged 11.1 points and 4.8 rebounds in the Spanish League last season. He has experience in both of Europe’s premier competitions, playing in the Euroleague with CSKA Moscow during the 2009-10 season and reaching the Eurocup title game in 2008 with Akasvayu Girona. He had a strong Eurocup campaign in 2008-09 too with Greek side Panellinios, where he led the entire competition in index ranking during the regular season (24.3 per game) and proceeded to finish the season as the per-minute leader in that category despite coming off the bench for all but one game. Radenovic has also played for Partizan in his native Serbia, for Cajasol in Spain and for the University of Arizona in the United States. He will now try to make Donetsk become the first Ukrainian team to play the Turkish Airlines Euroleague by surviving the Qualifying Rounds.
