BCM Gravelines added a new piece to its backcourt weeks before the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds by inking shooting guard Osiris Eldridge to a one-year deal on Wednesday. Eldridge (1.91 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Pinar Karsiyaka and replaces Marcus Landry, who was released earlier on this week. He averaged 9.4 points in 27 Turkish League games last season, helping Karsiyaka to finish fifth overall and earn a spot in the Eurocup Qualifying Round. He boosted his numbers up to 12.7 points and 2 steals in 15 EuroChallenge games, making his team reach the quarterfinals. Eldridge finished his college career at Illinois State University (NCAA) before joining Karsiyaka. He was chosen to the All-Missouri Valley Conference first team from 2008 to 2010, making it also to the All-defensive team in his last two seasons with the Redbirds. Eldridge will now try to help Gravelines to make its Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut by surviving the Qualifying Rounds.
