Anadolu Efes Istanbul announced on Saturday morning that it has parted ways with head coach Velimir Perasovic. The news comes following a dramatic 81-82 home loss against Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz on Friday night. The outcome dropped Efes to a 3-9 record. The team holds a share of last place in the Turkish Airline EuroLeague standings after 12 of 30 rounds in the regular season. Efes also announced that Agusti Julbe will be on duty as the head coach in a Turkish League game on Sunday. This was the second stint for Perasovic with Efes after he coached the team during the 2010-11 season. Last season, he guided the team to the playoffs last season, where Efes was ousted by the eventual EuroLeague runner-up Olympiacos Piraeus in a dramatic five-game series. Efes becomes the second team to make a coaching change this season, after Baskonia replaced Pablo Prigioni with Pedro Martinez after Round 3.
