The EFES Euroleague Dance Challenge is back to decide which team's cheerleading and dance squad will add its flavor to the mix at the 2018 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in Belgrade.
The EFES cheerleaders are always a hit at the Final Four, whether dancing on the court during the games or entertaining the crowds at Fan Zone. This season will be no different, but first the fans will choose which of the nine participating squads will win.
Voting for the 2018 EFES Euroleague Dance Challenge begins on Monday, February 5, and can be done through the contest's official website, efesdance.euroleague.net, or via social media. In order to have your choice recorded, simply use #EFESDance followed by the squad you are voting for in a comment or post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. By sharing their votes on social media, fans will increase their chances to win an official Euroleague Spalding basketball, too.
The nine candidates, all from Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup teams, were randomly divided into three groups:
Group A- UNICS Kazan, Herbalife Gran Canaria, Zalgiris Kaunas
Group B - CSKA Moscow, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, Crvena Zvezda
Group C - Anadolu Efes, ALBA Berlin, Lietkabelis Panevezys
During the first round, which will run for seven consecutive days beginning at noon CET on February 5, fans can vote for up to one team from each group. The three group winners plus the second-place team with the most votes will all advance to the semifinal stage. The second voting session, which begins on February 19 for one week, will see those four semifinalists paired down to two. The final week-long voting period will run from March 5 through March 12, after which the winners will be crowned and can begin making their plans to travel to Belgrade in May!
