Amid other changes on its roster, Montepaschi Siena will rely on veterans Marco Carraretto and Tomas Ress for the foreseeable future after both players signed two-year contracts on Thursday. Ress (2.08 meters, 31) will have completed 10 years in the Euroleague by the end of the new contract. He has played the last five seasons in a Siena uniform after having started his Euroleague career with two other Italian teams, Scavolini Pesaro and Climamio Bologna. Siena has been to two Euroleague Final Fours, in 2008 and 2011, with Ress, and they have won five Italian League titles together. His 4.7 points per game, 20 three-pointers and 52.6% accuracy from the arc last season were career highs in the Euroleague for Ress. Carraretto (1.96 meters, 34 years old) has played his entired five-season Euroleague careeer so far with Siena, where he arrived in 2006. Before that, he had played for five different Italian League teams as well as Tau Ceramica and Lugo of Spain. Carrarett has also appeared in the 2008 and 2011 Final Fours with Siena and has come off the bench to average 2.8 points in his five Euroleague seasons.
