As announced by the German club on Monday morning, Brose Baskets Bamberg reached an agreement with big man Sharrod Ford for the upcoming season. Ford (2.06 meters, 30 years old) arrives from the Erie Bay Hawks of the D-League, where he averaged 9.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He started the season with FC Bayern Munich but he left the club due to personal reasons. Ford played college ball in Clemson from 2001 to 2005 and that year made his NBA debut with the Phoenix Suns, even though he then moved to the D-League with the Fayetteville Patriots. In 2006 he joined Alba Berlin and also made his Eurocup debut, while the following season he moved to Italy to play with Montegranaro. In 2008 he switched teams and moved to La Fortezza Bologna and in 2009 he went to Russia to play with Spartak St. Petersburg. Finally, in 2010-11 he was back to Montegranaro for a second stint.
