Fenerbahce's Lauvergne, Datome out of Final Four

Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul officially announced on Wednesday that center Joffrey Lauvergne and forward Luigi Datome are officially ruled out for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four due to their respective injuries. Lauvergne has been our since mid-February due to an ankle injury that he suffered in a Turkish Cup semifinals game. Datome, who was a member of the 2015-16 All-EuroLeague Second Team, suffered a right calf muscle tear in a Turkish League game against Darussafaka Tekfen Istanbul on April 28. Lauvergne averaged 8.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22 EuroLeague games this season. Datome had played all 34 games until now, averaging 9 points on 91.7% free throw shooting and 3.6 rebounds.

Fenerbahce also announced that two other key contributors, forward Nikola Kalinic and center Jan Vesely, remain sidelined but are proceeding with their treatments. Their availability will be decided prior to the Final Four. Vesely leads Fenerbahce in scoring (12.4 ppg.) and rebounding (5 rpg.) this season. Kalinic is averaging 9.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in 33 games.
