Tribute to the Champs: Cory Higgins

Cory Higgins has been one of CSKA's best weapons on both ends of the floor ever since he first joined the club four seasons ago. This season he not only finished as the competition's second-best scorer with a career-high 14.9 points per game and ranked fourth with 49.0% three-point accuracy, but Higgins also came through to deliver when it mattered most – in the championship game against Anadolu Efes Istanbul. On the biggest night of the season, Higgins tied for a team-high 20 points, including 4-for-5 three-point shooting.

As much as an offensive dynamo as he is, Higgins is one of the players Coach Dimitris Itoudis relied upon heavily on the defensive end, too. So it was no surprise that Higgins led CSKA in minutes played in both Final Four games in Vitoria-Gasteiz, including a championship game-high 33 minutes. His ability to make stops and get buckets when they are most needed has been invaluable for CSKA and his superb play in the biggest games of the season helped Higgins join the distinct club of players with multiple EuroLeague titles.
