Turkish Airlines EuroLeague runner-up Anadolu Efes Istanbul has added forward Tolga Gecim
as the roster's first new player for next season. Gecim (2.06 meters, 23 years old) signed a one-year contract with an option for an extra season, the club announced. Gecim arrives from Banvit Bandirma, the club with which he has played most of his career to date. He averaged 7.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.4 assits for Banvit in 23 Turkish League games this season, raising his production to 12.5 pints, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two playoff games against Efes. Gecim played two seasons in the 7DAYS EuroCup with Banvit, debuting as an 18-year-old and averaging 2.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 34 games between 2014 and 2016. Before that, he had played two seasons on loan from Banvit to Bandirma Kirmizi, his only other team, in the Turkish second division.
