Zenit keeps big man Balashov

Zenit St Petersburg reached a new agreement with power forward Sergey Balashov to keep working together for another season, the club announced Thursday. Balashov (2.06 meters, 22 years old) averaged 1.3 points in 3 7DAYS EuroCup last season, in which he mostly played for Zenit's youth team. He averaged 8.0 points and 5.1 rebounds in 22 Russian League games with Zenit-farm St Petersburg. He has also played for Dynamo-MGTU Maykop, as well as for Dynamo Moscow and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar's U23 squads.
