Zvezda keeps big man Faye

Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade reached a new agreement with power forward Mouhammad "Mo" Faye, who re-signed his contract until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced Sunday night. Faye (2.08 meters, 33 years old) averaged 8.2 points and 6.9 rebounds in 13 7DAYS EuroCup games last season, in which he helped Zvezda win the Adriatic League and the Serbian League titles. He was the second-best rebounder in the EuroCup last season, only trailing Jalen Reynolds of Zenit St Petersburg (8.1 rpg.). Faye started his professional basketball career with Rio Grande of the D-League, and has also played for Hyeres-Toulon Var Basket of France, Ikaros Kallitheas, Panelefsnisiakos, Promitheas Patras and AGO Rethymno of Greece, and Openjobmetis Varese of Italy. He has also been a member of the Senegalese national team, helping it win a bronze medal at AfroBasket 2013.
