LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Ismael Bako to a two-year deal, the club announced Wednesday. Bako (2.08 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Telenet Giants Antwerp, where he averaged 7.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 43 Belgian League games last season. He started his career with another Belgian team, Stella Artois Leuven Bears, and joined Antwerp in 2017. Bako helped Antwerp win the Belgian Cup last season. He is also a member of the Belgian national team. Bako is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with ASVEL.
