Zenit St Petersburg will be joined in its Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut by a new shooting guard, Austin Hollins, who has joined the team on a two-year contract. Hollins (1.93 meters, 27 years old) arrives from Rasta Vechta of the German League, whom he helped to reach the domestic semifinals just one season after the team had been promoted from the second division. Hollins finished sixth among German League scorers with 16.4 points per game last season. He also tied for the league lead in steals, with 2.3 per game, and had 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists on average. Hollins started his pro career in the French second division, with Denain Voltaire, between 2014 and 2016. He spent the following year with Kauhajoen Karhu of Finland before making his first stop in Germany with Geissen 46ers in the 2017-18 season. Prior to turning pro. Hollins played four seasons at University of Minnesota, becoming a double-digit scorer in his last two seasons.
