Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv restocked its frontline by signing center Othello Hunter, who won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last season with CSKA Moscow. He signed a one-year contract with an option for another season. Hunter (2.03 meters, 33 years old) averaged 7.7 points on 59.6% shooting and 4.3 rebounds in 36 EuroLeague games last season as CSKA's starting center. It was the second campaign for Hunter at CSKA. The big man previously played in the EuroLeague for Montepaschi Siena, Olympiacos and Real Madrid. Hunter began his professional career with Atlanta in the NBA and has also played for Anaheim in the D-League, Ilysiakos Athens in Greece, Dinamo Sassari in Italy, Shandong and Jiangsu in China, Azovmash Mariupol in Ukraine and Valladolid in Spain. His trophy case includes a pair of Greek League titles, two VTB United League crowns and the 2017 Spanish Copa del Rey. At Maccabi, Hunter steps into the shoes of Alex Tyus, who left the club last week to sign for UNICS Kazan.
