A unique power forward who has set a world basketball standard for moves in the low post, Georgios Printezis will always be remembered for the game-winning shot that let Olympiacos Piraeus defeat CSKA Moscow in the 2012 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Championship Game. His one-handed floater from the baseline on the season's final play completed one of the greatest comebacks ever in world sports.
Printezis opened this decade playing for Unicaja Malaga but soon returned to Olympiacos, his boyhood club, to make history. Together, they added another continental title in 2013 as Olympiacos became the only back-to-back EuroLeague champion of the 2010s. Later, as Olympiacos reached but lost two more championship games, Printezis was named to the 2016-17 All-EuroLeague First Team.
- EuroLeague Champion
- All-EuroLeague First Team
- Euroleague April MVP
A relentless scorer full of energy, Printezis will always be linked to Olympiacos and his legendary teammate Vassilis Spanoulis, who assisted him on the shot of a lifetime, one for the history books. He is more than likely to finish the decade as one of the EuroLeague's top five scorers and rebounders all-time, showing the enormous impact he has had at the highest level of basketball in Europe.
