A rock-solid warrior with great timing and intensity, center Bryant Dunston has established himself as one of the strongest team leaders in continental basketball this decade. In his seventh Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season, Dunston has been voted winner of the Best Defender Trophy twice by the competition's head coaches, joining Dimitris Diamantidis and Kyle Hines as the only players to win the award more than once.
Dunston has been instrumental in taking both of his teams – Olympiacos Piraeus from 2013 to 2015 and Anadolu Efes Istanbul since then – to Final Fours. Dunston and Olympiacos went to the 2015 EuroLeague Championship Game, but host Real Madrid stood in their way to the title. After Efes finished the 2017-18 season in last place, Dunston anchored an extraordinary comeback that saw the team reach its first Final Four in more than 15 years last season. Again, Dunston went to the title game, but this time CSKA Moscow won despite his double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Best Defender Trophy: 2013-14, 2014-15
- All-EuroLeague Second Team: 2016-17
- EuroLeague runner-up: 2015, 2019
- EuroLeague blocks leader (1.3 bpg.): 2013-14
- EuroLeague blocks leader (1.7 bpg.): 2017-18
Fans and media voted Dunston to the All-EuroLeague Second Team in the 2016-17 season. He ranks first this decade and second all-time with 242 blocks. His 2.1 offensive rebounds per game are second-best for the decade. Rare players offer the guarantee of non-stop effort during every second on the court, but Dunston has proven himself over and over again to be one of them.
