Real and Rudy, together through 2022!

Two-time Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion Rudy Fernandez and Real Madrid will stay together until 2022 under terms of a new contract that the club announced on Friday. Fernandez (1.96 meters, 34 years old) is playing in his ninth EuroLeague season with Real, averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 18 games so far. Fernandez ranks fifth all-time in the EuroLeague with 438 three-pointers made and 277 steals. He ranks 15th in scoring with 2,460 career points. Fernandez was recently nominated to the EuroLeague All-Decade for the period between 2010 and 2020. With the Spanish national team he has been world champion twice, in 2006 and 2019; European champion three times, in 2009, 2011 and 2015; and Olympic medalist three times, with silvers in 2008 and 2012 and bronze in 2016.
