Another injury blow has hit the backcourt of KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz with the announcement on Friday that point guard Pierria Henry will undergo surgery next week for facial fractures. Henry, 27, was hurt during his team's 83-79 home win on Thursday against Khimki Moscow Region, in which he had 10 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in 33 minutes of action. Henry is the current EuroLeague leader in steals with 1.8 on average over the season's first 21 games. Henry is the third Baskonia point guard injured this season. Jayson Granger tore a knee ligament before playing a EuroLeague game this season and remains sidelined. Lucas Vildoza has missed the last five games with a shoulder injury. The only point guard on the Baskonia roster at the moment is Sergi Garcia, who was signed in early December and has averaged 6 minutes in nine appearances since then.
